With February as black history month, I wanted to talk about how black skater in the world of skateboarding contributed. Right off the bat of Terry Kennedy in mind comes as massive impact, especially since 2005, when he survived, shot in the face. Since then, Kennedy chose really his skating and his image. One is to mention other obvious skater Nyjah Huston - he has destroyed the competitive circuit as he explodes on the scene.
A reader posted on Afro-punk.com, "growing up in New York, I saw only one black person skateboarding." He attended school in 'Cali' and when he came a summer vacation, he brought his Board. Craze the neighborhood kids, including I looked him at, like, what you on a Board that white folk do sports? Now a days I, who know new generation will pick up the Board and skating through the streets like it is nothing. "I know the new culture of the black is so open, try out new things and make your way of thinking the older generation [evaluation type]."
This is a big word. Skateboarding is for each and all.
